Exporting from GroundControl & Importing to Net-Inspect

A step-by-step guide to uploading your FAIRs to Net-Inspect from GroundControl.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

You may find that a customer requires you to upload your FAIRs through Net-Inspect. GroundControl has features to help you do exactly that with as little effort as possible.

Once you have completed your FAIR in GroundControl and it is ready to be exported, you will find an option specifically for exporting to Net-Inspect.

This option will export a spreadsheet containing Form 1, Form 2, and Form 3 formatted for Net-Inspect.

However, this export option will not consolidate your spreadsheets with any additionally uploaded documentation.

As such, be sure to upload your additional documents, such as CofC's, separately and directly to Net-Inspect.

Keep in mind, your exported file also does not include your ballooned drawing, but that is very easy to export separately from GroundControl. Simply click the printer icon to the top right of your ballooned drawing on Form 3 and save it as a PDF.

Alternatively, click the export button in GroundControl, then click the "Configure Package..." button. Then, select the "Bubble Drawing" option to export just your drawing.

With your supplementary documents accessible, all there is left to do is upload them to Net-Inspect alongside your generated FAIR from GroundControl.

When creating a new report in Net-Inspect, you have the option to upload a file directly into Net-Inspect. At this point, you can select your exported GroundControl file to upload into Net-Inspect.

If you have already created your report, you can also import your GroundControl file after the fact. Just make sure not to use the upload button in each Form tab on Net-Inspect, unless you have split your GroundControl report form-by-form. Net-Inspect will not accept the GroundControl file if you try to upload all three forms at once into one of the specific Form tabs.
