If you use ProShop to manage your shop, you will be excited to hear that GroundControl integrates with ProShop.

If you use ProShop to manage your shop, GroundControl can connect directly to it, so your inspection data flows over automatically instead of you having to export and re-upload a spreadsheet every time.

Before you can use the integration, your GroundControl account needs to be connected to ProShop. Reach out to us at [email protected], then you'll see ProShop options appear throughout your inspections.

Open a First Article inspection and look for the Link ProShop Part option. Search for any part number available in your connected ProShop account and link it to the inspection. The linked part number stays visible on the inspection, and you can unlink it any time if you need to search again.

If a part number is already linked to a different customer's inspection, GroundControl will let you know instead of linking it to the wrong place.

The integration also works the other way. Click through to GroundControl from a part in ProShop and you'll land directly on the matching inspection. If one doesn't exist yet, GroundControl starts a new First Article inspection for that part and suggests the customer for you.

Once your Form 3 characteristics are filled in, you can sync them straight to ProShop instead of exporting a CSV. GroundControl builds the data from your inspection's own records, matching each characteristic to the right operation number and dimension tag, so ProShop always receives what's actually in your report.

A few things GroundControl handles automatically during sync:

If your shop prefers to import data into ProShop manually rather than syncing live, GroundControl still supports exporting a ProShop-formatted spreadsheet. and all the information is below.

Once you have completed your FAIR in GroundControl and it is ready to be exported, you will find an option specifically for exporting to ProShop.

This option will export a spreadsheet containing your FAIR formatted for ProShop.

To import your FAIR into ProShop, go the to "Parts" menu in ProShop, and click "Launch CSV"

Then, click the "CHOOSE FILES" button, or drag & drop your ProShop export into the upload field.

Once your file has been uploaded, make sure to select the correct option when including your data. The "Merge (Append)" option will ADD any new data to the end of existing data where present. The "Merge (Overwrite)" option will DELETE and OVERWRITE existing data if there is any new data for a corresponding field. The "Overwrite Records" option will delete everything in that part record before importing the new data. In general, this option should be avoided.

Once your data has been read and uploaded, you simply match your "ProShop Attributes" to any red highlighted headers in the "CSV Data window", ensuring your information finds its appropriate destination.

Once you've finished this, hit "Continue", and then "Continue" once more in the "Complete Data Upload" window once you're sure everything is correct.

Dimension Sync

When you sync dimensions to ProShop, GroundControl now builds the data sent over directly from your inspection's own records, so what ProShop receives always matches what's actually in your report. You don't need to do anything differently since this happens automatically in the background whenever you sync.

Seeing Missing Characteristic Numbers

If a characteristic is missing its Char # while an Op # is set, GroundControl will flag it for you before syncing, so you can fix it rather than finding out about a sync problem after the fact.

Staying in Sync After Linking or Unlinking

The part link status shown in your inspection now refreshes automatically after you link or unlink a part, and after a sync completes. You'll always see the current, authoritative link state rather than a stale view.
