Today we pushed an update live to improve the accuracy of our character/text recognition and character detection in Auto Balloon mode.

These updates should reduce misread text, whether manually ballooning or using Auto Balloon. You should also see fewer inaccurate balloon suggestions, and more correct suggestions populating when using Auto Balloon.

One trade-off here is that the text processing step will take longer than it used to, so please don't be alarmed if it takes longer than usual for a characteristic to populate in your Form 3 spreadsheet. You can continue ballooning while previous characteristics are processing.

All that said, we want to ensure that any changes we make will lead to objective improvements in accuracy. If you notice that the OCR is making more mistakes, or taking far loo long to process, or any other errors, please report them to use using the live chat tool or by emailing [email protected].
