Overview
We are really excited to release further enhancements that will significantly improve the performance of bubbling in Form 3, as well as overall application speed.
Table Filtering
The homepage dashboard and characteristic table in Form 3 now support global filtering. Simply type into the search bar and the table will automatically filter based on rows that have the search query in any column.
Document Editing
Video Tutorial
You can now edit documents directly in GroundControl! We currently support adding, removing and rotating pages.
Simply click the Document Editor icon in the toolbar at the top of the PDF viewer and a modal will pop up.
From here, you can click on pages to rotate them or delete them, or use Import Document
to add more pages. Once imported, you can drag to re-arrange the page order. Once you are done editing, simply click Save in the bottom right corner.
This will generally not affect existing characteristics. However, if you insert pages before an annotated page or delete an annotated page, you may see issues related to Characteristics. In that case, we recommend using the document editor to build your PDF before beginning the bubbling process.
Note: The Re-upload Drawing
blue toolbar item has been removed.
Export Flow
We have streamlined the report export flow to be more user-friendly and responsive.
Video Tutorial
As always, navigate to the Export tab to begin an export. In this tab, you will see an overview of all data entered for this FAI. As a first step, choose an Export Type via the dropdown input at the top of the page.
Once you have chosen, you can simply click the Export button. If the button is red, you must confirm you want to override any warnings and/or errors and export anyway. Once you confirm, the export will begin automatically. If the button is green, your FAI is error-free and you can immediately export!
The page will automatically update whether an export succeeds or fails.
If the export succeeds, it will download directly to your computer. If it fails, you will get a notification. To view the failure reason, click on "Download Previous Exports" and hover over the error status icon.
FAIR Due Date
You can now add a due date to each FAIR to keep track of its status and ensure no reports miss their deadlines during the busy season!
Video Tutorial
You will now see Due Dates by default in the main GroundControl dashboard. An exclamation icon indicates a due date has not been set.
To set a due date, navigate into any FAIR and click on the settings icon at the top of the screen.
Use the date picker to choose a due date. After selecting a date, it will automatically save and you will get a notification on success or failure.
You will now see this due date reflected on the main dashboard. A yellow due date indicates you are within 2 days of your deadline. A red due date indicates your deadline has passed.
Due Dates will change color to reflect status automatically!
